Kevin is a drummer from Seattle Washington, currently perusing a BM in both Jazz and Contemporary Media Performance and Music Teaching and Learning at the Eastman School of Music, studying under Richard Thompson. While in high school, Kevin received many notable honors, including performing with the NAfME All-Northwest Jazz Ensemble and the national Jazz Band of America. He has also played on several recordings, including the “Kenji Wagner Quintet Live at KNKX,” George Higashiyama’s “Trio Sleepover,” Bug Day “In The Hallway,” and several of the 2019 Hal Leonard Publications big band recordings. In addition to drum set, Kevin is both an accomplished classical percussionist, playing in the WMEA All State Orchestra in high school, well as an avid Composer and Arranger, leading his own large ensemble at Eastman. Kevin Looks forward to working with each and every student, and strives to make every lesson exciting and musically enriching.
