Marilyn Henry, a Caledonia native, is a graduate of Potsdam Crane School of Music in Music Education. Ms. Henry has been in the music circuit dating back to the 70’s, where she taught in both public and private schools. Still to this day, she is very much active directing and playing for local area churches, weddings and funerals. Some of Marilyn’s honors and accomplishments include, Sigma Alpha Lota music fraternity, the Elite Collegiate Singers, which performed at the Lincoln Center in NYC, and Once Upon a Mattress. In High School, Marilyn was a 6A clarinetist, whom attended NYSSMA and Allstate Band before focusing on voice, piano and organ. While at the Crane School of Music, Marilyn was under the direction of Helen Hosmer, Nadia Boulanger, Robert Shaw, Stanley Chapple, and Lukas Foss. The most joyous accomplishment of all is the benchmark that Marilyn has paved forward for many of her students, some whom have been involved in high school productions, while others have chosen to peruse a career in music.
